Caregiver Support Group is designed for those people who are caring for a loved one. It offers a break from day to day stress and an opportunity to share stories and helpful hints. Participants are encouraged to ask questions about additional resources. The Caregiver Support Group will meet at 6:00pm on the 3rd Wednesday of every month beginning September 20, 2006.
General Bereavement Group is a chance to openly discuss the loss of a loved one and the helpful ways in coping with that loss. The group will meet at 5:00pm on Wednesday evenings September 20, 27, October 4tand 11, 2006.
Spousal Loss Support Group
This group focuses on learning ways to cope and heal after a loss of a spouse or partner. The group will meet at 12 noon on four consecutive Fridays: October 6, 13, 20 and 27.
Perspectives is a book club that gives people a chance to read about loss and healing from different perspectives. The group will meet the third Friday of the month at 12 noon beginning September 15, 2006.
WORKSHOPS
Also beginning in October a workshop will be offered one night each month.
Create a specialty frame to honor the memory of your loved one at the Memory Frame Workshop held on Thursday evening October 12, 2006 at 5:00pm.
Explore ways that you can learn to deal with your feelings of loss and stress during the holidays at the Handling the Holidays Workshop on Thursday evening, November 9 at 6:00pm.
Remember your loved one by creating a photo decoupage candle at the Remembrance Candle Workshop on Monday evening at 5:30pm December 4, 2006.
